Ingredients

1 cup (194 grams) black beans, rinsed and drained

½ cup (40 grams) dry oats

2 tablespoons chopped onions

1 ounce (28 grams) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese 

1 large egg

dash salt

1 teaspoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine beans, oats, onions, cheese and egg in a bowl. Season with salt and mash with fork or potato masher until combined.
  2. Form into two patties.
  3. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet and cook burgers 7 to 8 minutes per side.
