Mat Pilates is a low-impact exercise that requires little equipment, builds strength and flexibility, and promotes core stability.

Taught by Coach Pearl, this progressive program starts with the basics and progressively adds movements and increases in difficulty.

ABOUT THE COURSE


Pilates offers a wide range of benefits for both physical and mental well-being. Experience improved posture, enhanced coordination, better balance, increased lung capacity, sharper focus, and reduced stress. This versatile exercise also promotes body awareness and helps prevent injuries.  

Mat Pilates is a form of exercise that strengthens and lengthens your muscles, with a primary focus on your core. Developed by Joseph Pilates to rehab and strengthen his own body, the original mat work routines include over 500 exercises that require no equipment, making them accessible for practice anywhere.

This series includes an Introduction to Pilates Principles, and five 30-minute classes that slowly add movements and increases in difficulty.

PEARL FU

Pearl Fu is a California native who has been teaching group fitness classes for over 25 years. Her passion is creating fun yet challenging workouts that help individuals stay consistent and connected in an ever-changing, busy world. As a fitness coach in her 50s, Pearl is an advocate for fitness at every age.
