Peaker Journey: Finding Confidence and Community

Name: Robyn
Location: Canada

When Robyn joined My Peak Challenge in January 2020, she wasn’t convinced it would stick. “I’d been following MPC for almost a year but honestly didn’t believe all those testimonials,” she admits. “I thought I’d last maybe six weeks, but that was fine since a portion of my membership went to charity.”

Two weeks later, she was telling her husband the same thing over and over: “This program is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.” Robyn had signed up for an exercise program, but what she found was a community that changed everything.

“I’m a completely different person since joining MPC,” she says. “The most unexpected change has been confidence. Before MPC, I was cautious and always afraid of being judged. Early on, I started sharing videos of myself trying new things, expecting criticism. Instead, I was told my effort mattered—and that was enough.”

That simple encouragement was life-changing. “For the first time, I felt accepted, even when I couldn’t do things others could. I began sharing unedited videos—mistakes and all—and people appreciated me for me.”

As the years went on, Robyn’s confidence grew beyond fitness. “By year three, I was opening up about some deep fears, like whether to go through with the preventative surgery my doctor had recommended. Peakers didn’t tell me what to do; they just listened and supported me. That love and understanding helped me finally make my decision.”

After a decade of uncertainty, Robyn underwent a prophylactic mastectomy in December 2023. “I wholeheartedly credit MPC with giving me the courage to do it,” she says.

When asked what keeps her coming back, Robyn doesn’t hesitate: “Valbo is an incredible coach, but it’s the community that makes me a Peaker for life. MPC isn’t just an exercise or mindfulness program — it’s the whole package.”

The impact extends far beyond the screen. “I now have dear friends all over the world. When I travel, I post where I’ll be, and Peakers meet me for coffee or dinner. I’ve shared meals in Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Scotland, Canada, the U.S., and Japan. It’s amazing to feel so much love from so many people.”

Her message to anyone considering joining? “MPC has the power to change your life if you let it. It made me stronger, more confident, and more connected than I ever imagined.”
